Cortina Ski Area:
Cortina is located in the north east part of
Italy; here you have more than 120 km of pistes
proudly divided into 6 main areas:. All of them
are connected by an efficient .... ski bus service.
Eventually you will find only a few pic of the
area without description.

WHERE TO SNOWBOARD:
1- FALORIA-CRISTALLO : average
30km, good all seasons, 2 different scenarios:
one is directly cought by the sun and reflects
on the other (Faloria) its light, you can ride
medium slopers, usually really good snow, all
the range of stepness, from 1700 to 2200mt.
2 - RA VALLES: can be reached
by cable car from the Ice-Ring of Cortina. From
2300 to 2700mt. Amazing scenario, good slopes,
not often good snow, good freeride, incredible
discent to Tofana Bassa Slopes by Forcella Rossa
slope. Yoy can ski from 2700mt and rach Cortina
city center (1100mt) in a few amazing minutes.
3 - TOFANA BASSA: since ever
Vip society meet here from the beauty and the
sunny scenario, easy stepness in the low part
(ideal to learn), black hard slopes in the high
part. Here you have one of my favourite itinerary:
Vertigine Bianca which more or less sounds like
White Vertigo. 40 or more km to be ridden.
4 - 5 TORRI - PASSO GIAU - LAGAZUOI
- COL GALLINA: Since 2009 we have a
ski ring in Cortina: just try to understand
and when you get to Averau mountain have a look
at our KITESCHOOL
settled at Passo Giau!Old skilift still working
here. Very good freeride. from here easy backcountry
excursions at mt.Pore, please ask Kite4freedom
for info.
5 - MISURINA : a quiet ski
resource, few km, less expensive, amazing landscape,
funny freerde if there is fresh snow, just on
the river of Misurna Lake where you can try
KiteSnow
if there is wind. Dont forget to try Malga Misurina
(just in front of the resource) food once you've
finised sporting! Misurina is a great resource
also for snow raks tours, alpine ski and backcountry.
6 - AURONZO: nice place, 19km
slopes, lower quelity snow since it is lower
than the others, good implants, good food, cheap,
some good hardbooter, once there was a cool
snowclub: Kidelabrea. Ideal to learn and for
families.
