Since february 2009 we have been in Cortina d'Ampezzo organizing Snowboard Tests: to try new snowboarding tecniques using the best manufactured boards ever.

We are not teaching snowboard, we are to MAKE TOU TEST new snowboarding solutions: we will try TOGHETER the right board in the right place.

How can you manage to try boards?

1)Visit www.Kite4freedom.it; we are in Cortina d'Ampezzo,
2) think: which board you would like to try? Swoard EC or Skwal?
3) send an e-mail or give us a call to book your try, (better if a group of friends)
4) Bring with you some bindings

SWOARD AIM: Since 2002 a comeback to larger and more recreational alpine boards in a market which was essentially focused on narrow boards, often specifically designed for races. The revival of "wide boards", launched by SWOARD, was first criticized but soon followed by other manufacturers although width is far from being the only secret of SWOARD.

SWOARD SNOWBOARDING: Rillet and Fivat, have developed their - easily identifiable - extremecarving technique, which allows them to easily link fully laid frontside and backside turns.

mass and use a more closed stance (knees together, facing more toward the nose). These styles
tilt the board high on edge, so you have to worry about boot-out. They are less stable, and
cannot absorb bumps well on varied terrain. These styles are used for carving complete half
circles, allowing you to experience up to about 3 Gs of centripetal force. Because most of the
energy of the board goes into G-force rather than speed, you can progress down the fall line

ALPINEPUNK AIM: April 2008 we met Mats with his boards in 5 Torri slopes, Since then he has gone on developing his own carving way. MAts stongly believes in long boards, up to 191 cm of Supersuede. the whole ALPINEPUNK rage has 4 different models, FROM CARVING TO POWDER..

VIRUS SNOWBOARDING:

 

Styles that transform the energy of the board into speed. They tend to have a higher center of
mass and use a more open stance (knees separated, facing more toward bindings). These styles do not tilt the board high on edge, so you don't have to worry as much about boot-out. They are more stable, and absorb bumps well on varied terrain. They are generally used for carving somewhat less than a complete half-circle on each turn. Because the energy of the board goes into speed, these carving styles are used for getting the fastest time out of a race course.

SKWAL AIM: Un piede davanti all’altro, con una differenza massima di 5 gradi , abbastanza vicini da richiedere spesso di chiudere prima l’attacco dietro e poi quello davanti. La tavola è stretta e il corpo la segue naturalmente lungo tutta l’evoluzione. La forma della tavola permetta una conduzione reattiva e curve ampie stabili ad alte velocità e traiettorie basse. E’ lo sopostamento laterale del corpo che permette di curvare con poco sforzo, grande precisione e tenuta incredibile anche sulla neve ghiacciata.
